I live in Lynn, Massachusetts (just north of Boston), about a mile from the Atlantic Ocean. My husband Jim and I have one son (Jesse), one dog (Cassie), one cat (Sagwa), two snakes (Camille and Scorpy), one bearded dragon (Norbert), and six birds (the parakeet is Snow, and the cockatiels are Isabella, Willy Gus (the mom), Harvey (the dad), and their babies A and B.
I have a whole set of awesome doctors (mostly specialists), including my primary care doctor, my nephrologist, my otolaryngologist (I had a partial thyroidectomy in 2009), and my orthopedist. At some point, I’ll be in touch with a nutritionist (haven’t had good luck finding a good one yet). I’m the one in charge of keeping everyone informed.
I follow a primarily low sodium diet. As a result, I eat very few processed foods. (My son had bottled spaghetti sauce for the first time two weeks ago. He knew it existed, but he’d never eaten it.) My guys love it when I travel because they get to eat themselves sick on all the foods I won’t buy when I’m home
